Pakistan Cruising to Quarter Finals…. What’s next?

Its first time that all four Asian test playing nations have qualified for the quarter finals. Pakistan team was the last team to register its position in Qualifying round today after winning against Ireland. They will play on the same ground where they give crushing defeat to Irish. However, they also lose on the same against there rivals in their very first match in the WC2015.

Pakistan start in the group match was so poor that every expert in the world said that theydon’t deserve to go ahead. It looks to be impossible for them as they have to win all the remaining group matches to qualify for the Quarters. Where every one around the world criticizing Pakistan poor batting and there fielding specially dropping catches; they start to win the matches.

First against Zimbabwe they defend an easy achievable total then they they hit UAE which was a bit easy. But there real test was South Africa which they win it by there superb bowling. Thanks to Sohail Khan who picked AB de Villiers and Sarfaraz who lift Pakistan by giving a steady start which they were lacking. Against Ireland they give the statement of being consistent and told every one that they deserve to cruise in the Quarter’s. What’s Next? there real test starts now…

As there last four matches were all do or die so as the next three. They have to win the next three to become the champion of 2015. But how they going to do it?

Shaheen’s encounter in Quarter Final is against Kangroo’s which becomes the most exciting Quarter final match among all the four. Both teams have great fast bowling line up specially excellent bunch of left arm fast bowlers. However, Aussie batting looks more consistent than of Pakistan. They have choked against New Zealand by impressive bowling of Tim Southee which is the best spell of the WC yet there bowling continues to impress specially Mitchell  Starc. Pakistan batting currently relying on Misbah and Sarfaraz. Umer Akmal can bat brilliantly which we are hearing but we have not seen a single match winning knock from his bat. Same applies with Sohaib Maqsood. You can expect some clean hitting from Ahmed Shehzad but he throws his wicket and gets choked. Shahid Afridi has still being the mystery for whole of the world. However, despite being wicket less he has been very consistent with his economical bowling. But I am not finding the same against Australia who are looking brave and are playing attacking cricket and will not let Afridi to go under 4 or even 5. Irfan who have been one of the best with new ball is injured and another economical bowler is out. Now they have to play with the bowlers who are bowling superbly but may leak runs. Wahab Riaz has bowl the fastest bowl of the tournament and will be treat to watch against Australia who plays fast bowl well. He has to deliver some great bowling in the next matches in the same way as he bowled today. It is to be worth mention that Sohail Khan has bowl and has shown great extravaganza of death bowling in this tournament has a great role to play against Quarter Final. However, if we look at the conditions we see that the batsman has big role to play as this is a batting pitch, runs on the board will be crucial. Final words regarding the match will be who ever bats well will go to Semi as both the teams have good fast bowling unit. They need to outclass each other from their batting.

Keeping that thing in mind; we may see hundred from….. Akmal??? As he plays Aussie well…

One thing to remember if Shaheen won they would face their neighbors.

Currently beating Australia should be their priority and focus. Next week going to be cracking for Cricket Lovers….
